number one

Hello,

Recently I’ve been forced into learning a few lessons due to familial issues that I won’t delve into too much, but they feel important, and something that I’ll need to know as my future arrives. Over the next few weeks I’ll be recounting them and learning as I go; as you learn something new everyday.

number one – calm down

My mind moves at 300 miles per minute, and sometimes we should force ourselves to slow down. Within my grief over the situation, I managed to forget to cry. I spent hours working at essays or maths problems; losing sight of the fact that it is okay to cry.

Sadness is a part of life, and when you accept it you enable yourself to forgive the world and stop being angry – and to begin to live again, with pockets of sadness to grieve in, and the rest of the time for whatever the brain chooses to occupy itself with. The mind never truly becomes distracted, just more focused. But sometimes more focused is all we need.

Thank You.

to live is the rarest thing in the world.

Hello,

“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”

― O.W

Life is filled with excitement. With joy and smiles and grins that stretch across our faces until our cheeks hurt. Life is also filled with downs. Life is filled with personal tragedies and crying until you can barely force any breath from your lungs.

But that is life. It is up and it is down. And in 2020 I’m going to attempt to live my life as best I can. I’m going to embrace the half-baked smiles a peer may give me, attempting to cheer me up within a time of trouble. I’m going to embrace the parties to which I may get invited, and I’m going to embrace the parties to which I do not get invited. I am going to grab life by the shoulders and squeeze it until it has nothing left to give.

This is my goal for 2020, to embrace life.

This is because life is filled with excitement, and I am tired of merely existing.

Its a bit personal, and a bit disarrayed, but its me, purely me.

Thanks.
